Postdoctoral Associate: Economic Modeling
MIT's Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change is seeking one postdoctoral associate to develop and work with large models of the economy, with a particular focus on the representation of advanced energy conversion technologies. Will work in a team environment using and modifying models.
Under the U.S. Regional Energy and Environmental Modeling Project and China Energy and Climate Project, the MIT Joint Program is developing advanced modeling frameworks to study energy demand; energy supply technologies; and policy, economic, and environmental implications.
A Ph. D. in economics or closely related field and expertise in computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling, GAMS, and MPSGE software. Knowledge of and experience working with large data sets is highly desirable. Experience integrating country-specific and global datasets and models is preferred. Should have demonstrated capability to produce analysis of issues related to the economics of advanced energy technologies.
